Key Features
Balanced Learning and Application
This program is designed to provide an equal mix of theoretical understanding and hands-on practice. Interns will begin with 2 months of theory classes (16 sessions) to build a strong foundation in key therapeutic models. Following this, they will alternate between in-depth theory and practical sessions, allowing them to immediately apply what they learn to real-life scenarios.
Supervised Guidance
Throughout the program, interns will receive regular supervision and mentorship from experienced mental health professionals. Bi-weekly supervision sessions with mentors will offer a structured space to discuss cases and seek feedback, while weekly peer supervision sessions will foster reflection, support, and shared learning among interns.
Real-Life Client Sessions
Interns will work directly with real clients, starting with mock sessions and progressing to independently managing cases under supervision. This practical experience helps build confidence, refine skills, and develop professional competencies crucial for a mental health career.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation
The program encourages continuous learning through regular case discussions, reflective journaling, and feedback loops. Interns will be challenged to critically analyze their interventions, adapt to client needs, and stay updated with the latest therapeutic advancements. This fosters a culture of growth, adaptability, and lifelong learning, which are essential in the dynamic field of mental health.
Course Plan
This 8-month internship provides a balanced mix of theoretical learning and practical client experience, designed to develop participants' skills in conducting therapy and applying diverse therapeutic interventions. During the first 2 months, interns will attend 8 theory classes and 8 practical sessions focused on core therapeutic models and real-world applications.
